the therapist
Kayla McIntyre • Owner, LMT
My journey into bodywork took root in the belief that real healing happens when we slow down. With over a decade of hands-on experience and continued specialized training, my work blends the technical and intuitive to support you in your return to balance.
My mission is to always meet you where you are with compassion, curiosity and holistic care. By creating a long standing therapeutic relationship, massage therapy can not only serve at addressing present conditions, but also as preventative care for a greater quality of life.
the philosophy
The key to health is treating the person, not just the symptoms. My work supports you holistically and honors your nervous system. I work with the body, not against it, and believe that intentional touch creates the most lasting shifts. There’s no “no pain, no gain” here; when breath can’t move with ease, the body closes and guards further.
Our stories, memories and experiences shape us, and can determine how we carry ourselves through the world. Through massage, we not only can address the physical manifestations of this, but also find comfort in sitting with these sensations, and allowing space to truly let go.

Tipping is never expected. My pricing is all-inclusive; it covers any extras like aromatherapy and CBD, and it reflects both my expenses and the true value of my time.
Massage therapists have been advocating to be recognized as healthcare professionals for many years. I personally prefer to be seen in that light, similar to how you wouldn’t tip your doctor or therapist.
What means the most to me is your continued support; booking sessions regularly, sharing kind words in a review, or referrals. If you ever choose to leave a tip, I’ll always appreciate the gesture, but please know it’s not required.

No, I don’t offer gift cards/certificates.
Alternatively, you can book a service for someone else through the scheduler. Just save your card when booking their appointment, and I will use that card at checkout.

Before coming in for your appointment, be sure to avoid excess caffeine, and make sure you are properly nourished & hydrated.
Please be sure to practice proper hygiene, and avoid smoking or the use of synthetic fragrances prior to your visit.
You can dress down to your level of comfort for the massage-most people fully undress but underwear on is okay too. Remove all jewelry if possible.
You’ll be asked about pressure as we go, and you can always ask for adjustments when needed.
I remain quiet aside from check-ins so you can fully relax; if you’d like to chat, that’s welcome too, and I’ll let you lead the conversation.
If possible, plan for a relaxing day following your appointment with minimal exercise/stress on the body, and lots of hydration.

Short answer: no.
Those who ask this question are usually looking for a massage with very deep pressure-usually painful- for the entirety of the massage.
I work deep in that I will access the tissues that need it, but the pressure is medium/deep and you can always breathe through it. I don’t work at that depth for the entire massage, either.
If you’re looking to have the deepest massage of your life, I’m not the therapist for you, but can refer you to those who offer this.
